Sling & Stone

Brand identity

Sling & Stone is the communications agency built
for challengers, disruptors and visionaries. A unique, creative and trailblazing group of individuals with a brand that wasn’t truly reflecting who they were. They wanted to be bolder, to be able to tell a story, and to have a stronger impression while being able to inject individual touches.

As lead designer on the SomeOne project team, I was involved in the brand concept & brand identity, including rollout to their presentation and socials templates.

Leave no stone unturned

The name, Sling & Stone, was a gift in itself with the origin story of David & Goliath sparking the brand concept. To take down the giant, you need to be armed with the right people, mindset, approach, ideas and tools. The ‘five stones’ that can change and adapt, and come together in different ways to tackle different problems for unique clients.

A key ask for the project was to revamp their brand templates in a way that it “doesn’t result in templated thinking”. Different global teams were trying to add their own flairs without the right brand tools to keep the system cohesive. To help with this, an extensive suite of organic stone devices and handdrawn assets was created, giving them a flexible toolkit to personalise and customise within brand parameters.
